Objective To investigate the effect of peri-operative hyperglycemia on post-operative complications, hospital costs, and length of hospital stay in non-diabetic patients with gastrointestinal malignancies.Methods A total of 1015 non-diabetic patients with gastrointestinal malignancies who had complete clinical information and underwent surgical intervention in our hospital between January 2010 and December 2010 were retrospectively evaluated.
