In Psychometrics or educational measurement research,cognitive diagnostic models (CDMs) are probability models that can identify the presence and absence of students latent attributes.Many CDMs have been proposed to model skills and concepts which are used as the evidences for constructing adaptive remedial instruction.In addition to skills and concepts,misconceptions and problem solving strategy are also useful information for remedial instruction.Usually,the skills involved in different problem solving strategies may be different and different misconceptions may occur when applying different skills.In this presentation,a novel cognitive diagnostic model for identifying problem solving strategy,skills and misconceptions simultaneously based on students item responses will be introduced and applied to construct a cognitive diagnostic computerized adaptive test and remedial instruction system.
