Self-talk is an important cognitive intervention strategy in the field of competitive sports. Athletes can control their own thinking through self-talk to control their own members to produce anxiety and thus affect their level of exercise. The movement of specific thinking (The movement of reinvestment), is a kind of personality. Reinvestment, as reinvestment theory, is a kind of self-monitoring theory. When athletes pay too much attention to their actions because of the pressure of competition or too much care about their own evaluation, their reinterpretations will decrease. In this study, 238 athletes in a PE college were investigated. The relationship between self-talk and action-specific thinking of athletes was investigated by questionnaire and mathematical statistics. The result shows that athlete’s self-talk is closely related to action-specific thinking.
