Objective: Describe life satisfactions and copying style and social support of repeat suicide attempters.Methods: Researchers administered life satisfactions and coping style and social support questionnaires to suicide attempters and follow up further for six years.Repeat suicide group including the prior suicide attempts and repeating suicide during following-up periods compared with the first suicide behaviour patients.Results: There were 24(20.9%) repeat suicide attempters among 115 attempters.The repeat suicide attempter scores for life satisfactions and for mature coping strategies were significantly lower than the first suicide behaviour patients and their scores on the less mature coping strategy scales were higher.There was little difference in the social support between repeat suicide attempters and first suicide behaviour patients, but repeat suicide attempters use less social support.Conclusion: The coping strategies and life satisfactions of repeat suicide attempters are quite poor and lower.We have to pay much attention to the likelihood of repeat suicidal behaviour.
