Our current approach focuses on the scientific foundations of medicine, especially in the domain of cardiac electrophysiopathology and combines Computational Integrative Physiology (CIP), 2D and 3D Cellular Automata (CA) models, Qualitative Modeling (QM), and reasoning capabilities.Our cardiac CA models, made up of tens of thousands of elements forming a two or three-dimensional array, can simulate rhythmic disorders such as tachycardias, AV blocks, flutters and fibrillations.In addition, 3D CA models when coupled to volume-conductor models can offer the possibility to study beat to beat P, QRS and Twave morphology.
