  Bosten Lake,the largest inland freshwater lake in China,is where the Kaidu River ends and the Kongque River begins,the all three called the Bosten Lake Basin.It is an unique freshwater ecosystem located near the largest desert—Takramagan Desert in China.Along with the increasing global climate change and human activity intensity,the ecological environment has also undergone a significant change,the ecological security problem has become increasingly prominent in the Bosten Lake Basin.This report discusses various aspects in water resources research,which includes: meteorological and hydrological issues,ecohydrology water environment,and water management in the Bosten Lake Basin.
