@@ Since the 1960s, television variety show was brought to the viewer in Mainland China and Taiwan. The sense of visual and audio has made it un-resistible. The content of television variety program carry much of the cultural and social influences, either in positive or negative way. The exchange of television program can reduce the possible conflict between Mainland China and Taiwan, The previous research has showed that the television mainstream program viewing behavior is quite similar on the aspect of viewing amount, daily and yearly pattern, and main tastes of programs types (Huang, 2004).

众所周知，2002年初“南京零距离”栏目开播，2003年底，江苏广播电视总台城市频道总监景志刚用民生新闻的概念来总结“南京零距离”的栏目特色。从此，“民生新闻”引起了新闻业界和理论界的热议。如果说概念的提出标志着民生新闻的定型，那么，从那时至今时间又过了4年，经过全国性的实践与理论探索，特别是在构建和谐社会这一大的背景下，民生新闻已经发生转向，其内涵已经发生了很大的变化，不妨说，“后民生新闻”时期
迄今为止，我国的社会改革与转型已经走过近30年的历程。在社会改革与转型的场域中，报纸与社会双向互动，一方面顺应并推进社会转型，另一方面实现了自身的角色转型。本文重在探讨、分析报纸角色转型这一过程的背景与缘由、内涵与过程、技术与策略，以及未来应循路径。
