Cannabinoid receptors belong to the superfamily of G-protein coupled receptors, playing a major role in pathophysiology of a wide range of diseases.Cannabinoid receptor type 2 (CB2), which is a promising drug target of for the treatment of many illnesses ranging from pain to Alzheimers disease without the adverse psychotropic effects,mainly locates in peripheral tissues that couple primarily to Gi/o proteins to modulate an array of signaling pathways.
