Despite advances in technology and understanding of biological systems, drug discovery & development is still a lengthy, expensive, difficult, and inefficient process with a low success rate [1].During the whole value-chain of drug discovery & development from preclinical to clinical and commercial manufacture, analytical science and technology are key functions that play critical roles in structure elucidation, impurity profiling, specification, and quality control.Hence, it is vital to build up effective analytical platforms to support each stage of discovery and development with higher efficiency and greater productivity.
