Kaposis sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) is an oncogenic virus which has adapted unique mechanisms to modulate the cellular microenvironment of its human host, allowing for the expression of viral genes, the evasion of host immune responses, and the efficient production of infectious progeny virions.
