  A synthesis process is designed and introduced for the conversion of 1.0t/h lignocellulosic biomass to dimethyl ether(DME)and Fischer-Tropsch fuels from a synthesis gas intermediate.Four different types of gasification techniques using steam,O2,O2-steam,and air-steam as gasifying agent and two syngas conversion pathways Fischer-Tropsch synthesis or direct DME synthesis are analyzed and compared to determine the integrated process for liquid fuel production that enhance the overall system efficiency.The multiple existing technologies including gasification,O2 production,reforming,CO2 removal,water gas shift reaction,fixed-bed synthesis conversion and tail-gas utilization are combined into the structure of possibilities of biomass conversion and discussed.
