We evaluated vascular endothelial function in 5 healthy subjects (male 3, female 2, 50.2 ± 2.9(SD) years old) and 4 type 2 diabetic patients (male 3, female 1, 72 ± 5 years old) with use of peripheral arterial tonometry (PAT), soluble lectin like oxidized low density lipoprotein receptor-1 (sLOX-1) and endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs).Each examination was repeated before and after 10 sessions of whole-body periodic acceleration (WBPA) treatment in 3 type 2 diabetic patients.Each WBPA was carried out at 2 to 3 Hz and approximately ± 2.2 m/sec2 for 45min.Reactive hyperemic index (RHI) of PAT in 4 diabetic patients was 1.47 ± 0.31, which was lower than a standard value of 1.67.
