Objective:To evaluate the possibility,related techniques and clinic value of total vertebrarectomy for the treatment of spinal tumors and to probe into the reliable spinal reconstruction after total vertebrarectomy.Methods:148 cases of spinal tumors which has eroded both vertebra body and its attachment were treated with total vertebrarectomy and internal fixation as reconstruction techniques.Among these cases,there are benign tumors,malignant tumors and metastasis tumors,which has invaded different levels include up and lower cervical 73 cases,thoracolumbar 65cases and sacrum 10 cases.1 to 3 spinal vertebras were removed.Histological classificationg of these cases include:Giant cell tumor 36,Chordoma 18,Hemangioma 6,Osteochondroma 7,Osteoblastoma 7,Neurofibroma 13,Malignant neurofibroma 8,Malignant liomyoma 2,Chondrosarcoma 14,Myeloma 10,Malignant hemangioendothelioma 6,Histocytoma 5,Malignant histocytoma 5,Lyphoma 3,Malignant melanoma2,Matastases 6.
