The purpose of the study of cognitive neuroscience is to clarify brain mechanism of neural activity, that is to say how our brain call each components of each level, including molecules, cells, brain tissues and the whole brain, to achieve various kinds of neural activities.As soon as cognitive neuroscience comes into being, it has been concerned by many scientists in various fields and each of them takes an active interest in it.Making a series of breakthrough results, the new science also has to face some difficulties mainly as research paradigms cannot meet the expectancy of precise explanations about brain secrets.The research paradigms of cognitive neuroscience experience changes from speculative philosophy to experimental psychology, from damage technology to imaging in vivo, from scientific experiment to computer simulation and finally from microscopic study to macroscopic integration.Therefore, in order to achieve the goal of being the most promising development prospect natural science in 21 st century, cognitive neuroscience should not only study the technical innovation in research but also need the innovation of ideology and paradigms.
