Coastal open space is an important part of urban public space and,it plays a very important role in the construction of urban coastal zone.Therefore,investigation and study of the post occupancy evaluation of coastal open space is a very important job,it has a very good reference to itself and the similar space design in the future through the scientific and reasonable analysis.In this paper,we take the Sea Dream Music Fountain Square in Dalian Donggang CBD in China as the study object,the users of the space as the research object.The main study method is post occupancy evaluation (POE),through the observation and questionnaire interviews and other research methods,the preliminary summary and sums up the behavior patterns,the relationship between psychological characteristics and the space environment of the users in the coastal open space,in order to make scientific evaluation of the Sea Dream Music Fountain Square,and put up some optimized suggestions aiming at the existing problems.Hoping those results and conclusion have certain effect on the successful coastal open space design and renovation in the future,thus promoting the good interaction between the user and the environment in the urban coastal open space.And arousing the space energy,making urban coastal open space play a more important role in improving the urban vitality and the urban space environment.
