Transparent ceramics are emerging as a highly promising alternative to single-crystal materials for potential utilization in a wide range of optical and photonic applications,most notably being ceramic lasers and scintillators.In active pursuit of successfully developing bulk transparent ceramics,research on the processing of transparent ceramic chips are also desired for a wide of applications including microchip lasers and ceramic substrates for solid-state lighting.
