Background Cardiovascular disease was a significant cause of mortality in all stages of chronic renal dysfunction.Patients with early stage chronic renal disease suffered from a low GFR complicated by albuminuria;however, the creatinine level was still in the normal range.Microalbuminuria is an early and sensitive indicator of renal damage, and is also an independent predictor of CAD.This study was conducted to investigate the possible relationship of chronic renal dysfunction and alburninuria with the severity of coronary artery lesions in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD).
