This paper describes research on the characteristics of various grades of PZT ceramic powder,a material distinguished by high piezoelectric properties,for use in manufacturing piezoelectric paint.Batches of water based acrylic paint were made up using the PZT powder as “pigment” according to an established formula and evaluated according to their effectiveness as a paint(short and long term stability,and suitability for spraying)and the quality of the piezoelectric sensors made from them.
