We investigate the hydrogenation of monolayer silicene-3x3 structure on Ag(111)through scanning tunnelling microscopy experiments and density functional theory calculations. The fully hydrogenation of silicene-3x3 structure at room temperature result in 7 hydrogen atoms reacted with Si atoms in one 3x3 unit cell.Combined with experiments and calculations,we fnd the hydrogenated silicene will undergo an interesting structural transition,in which the buckled degree of Si atoms will be rearranged. We also fnd two kings of hydrogenated silicene domains with image symmetry. Our results reveal that substrate plays an important role on the hydrogenation of silicene. The dehydrogenation of hydrogenated silicene can be realized by annealing sample to about 450 K.The easy reversible hydrogenation of monolayer silicene suggest that silicene may be a promising material for hydrogen storage.
