This study presented five plant parasitic nematodes and a fungivorous nematode with their morphological and molecular characterisations.They include Helicotylenchus dihystera Cobb,1893 & Sher, 1961, Rotylenchus robutus De Man, 1876 & Filipev, 1936, Paratylenchus sp.,Criconemoides sp., Xiphinema brevicolle Lordello et da Costa, 1961 and Aphelenchus avenae Bastian 1865.These nematodes were collected from the rhizosphere of coniferous and ornamental trees from China.The morphological data of each species were compared with the different populations.Sequence analysis of ITS1 and 18S region with universial primers were applied to discern the genetic variation of these nematodes.The fragments varied in size, ranging from 500 bp (Criconemoides sp.) to 1004 bp (Xiphinema brevicolle).The results of this study support the knowledge of diversity of plant parasitic nematodes which associated with coniferous and ornamental trees from China.
