Goal-directed fluid therapy (GDT) is a kind of fluid therapy on the basis of some hemodynamic indicators to optimize cardiac output and increase tissue oxygen.1 It has been confirmed by some studies that GDT during anesthesia can improve surgical outcomes by shortening length of stays and reducing postoperative complications such as infection and so on, since GDT was firstly confirmed by Shoemaker in reducing the mortality of critically ill patients.
