The effect of Fu Fang Zhen Zhu Tiao Zhi formula on levels of glucose metabolism in different ages

  Aim of study:Fu Fang Zhen Zhu Tiao Zhi formula (FTZ),for which a patent has been issued,is composed of eight medical herbs and has been proven clinically effective for the treatment of dyslipidemia. To investigate the effect Tiaogan Qi shu Huazhuo method for different ages levels of glucose metabolism in vivo.Material and methods:In this study,We use 8-week-old C57b6/J and 48-week-old male mice SREBPI-c/widetype male mice,fed them with high-fat diet(HFD),high-fat diet+drug intervention (HFD+FTZ) five months,monitoring the administration FTZ of one month,two months,three months,four months,five months plasma glucose levels in vivo at different times.In order to observe the effect of FTZ from different ages on glucose metabolism in vivo,Glucose tolerance test,fasting insulin,HOMR-IR were carried out in all groups.Results:The model group which were fed on HFD,its blood glucose levels increased gradually with age increased,glucose metabolism decreased,fasting insulin levels gradually reduced.HOMR-IR index increased.(HFD+FTZ)Group could maintain normal glucose metabolism in vivo,compared with the model group ameliorate insulin resistance,HOMR-IR index decreased.Conclusion:FTZ can prevented and improved insulin resistance and glucose metabolism to maintain the level of glucose metabolism that it does not decreased insulin sensitivity due to age increased.
