Tumour necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) or Apo2 ligand is a member of the turnout necrosis factor superfamily, which induces apoptosis upon binding to its death receptors (DRs), DR4 and DR5 via intrinsic and extrinsic signaling pathway.Promisingly, DRs preferentially mediate apoptosis in cancer ceils without toxicity in most normal tissues and cells.
