Synthesis and Characterization of Single-Crystalline BaTiO3 Nanorods Obtained From BaTi2O5 Nanorods

  Large scale single-crystalline BaTiO3 nanorods were successfully synthesized by a molten salt combined template synthesis method.The templates used in our method are BaTi2O5 nanorods.The unique process involves the coating of BaTi2O5 nanorods with BaC2O4·0.5H2O shell in aqueous solution and subsequently annealing treatment at 830℃ for 4h in a NaCl,KCl mixed molten salt.The as-synthesized BaTiO3 nanorods were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM).
