Diatomite samples from the Pleistocene deposits collected from different localities in El Fayoum depression reveals the predominance of Cyclostephanos and Stephanodiscus from Stephanodiscaceae.Stephanodiscus was represented by two species S.aegyptiacus and S.minutulus while Cyclostephanos found as one species C.dubius.
