Nanocellulose is the highly crystalline(65 %-95 %) cellulose nanocrystals or nanofibers that can be isolated from a broad range of cellulose sources including tunicate, algae, bacteria and wood.Nanocellulose has been reported to be 2 to 20 nm wide with aspect ratios varying from 40(~200 nm long and 5 nm wide) to around 66(~1 μm long and 15 nm wide) for tunicin whiskers1.
