The stability of equilibrium of a generalized Birkhoffian system with respect to partial variables is studied.By choosing the Birkhoffian as a Lyapunov function and using the theorem on the stability with respect to partial variables, a result on the stability of equilibrium with respect to partial variables for the generalized Birkhoffian system is obtained.
