Purpose To identify patterns of metabolic changes and plasma biomarkers associated with low dose ionizing radiation(LDR)exposure.Materials and Methods Plasma samples were obtained from 61 patients who underwent coronary computed tomography angiography in either High-pitch Flash mode or Low-Pitch Spiral mode before and 30 min after MSCTCA at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University(China[A1])[A2] between March 2014 and February 2015.A GC-MS-based metabolomics technique was used to investigate the metabolic changes in humans exposed to low dose ionizing radiation(LDR)in MSCTCA.Orthal partial least square-discrimination analysis(OPLS-DA)was applied for classification of metabolic phenotypes and discovery of differentiating metabolites.Potential radiation exposure biomarkers were selected by multivariate statistical analysis.
