  Biological tubes are prevalent structural designs across the living organisms.During the early development of ascidian,the notochord tube forms by lumen secretion and cell rearrangement.This provides as an interesting model system to study the cellular processes and molecular mechanisms of tubulogenesis,especially on the mechanisms of lumen formation and expansion.
