Ophioglossum thermale Kom.(Ophioglossaceae), is widely used as a traditional antidote for poisonous snake bite or Chinese herbs of heat-clearing and detoxifying.Phytochemical research revealed that the herba of Ophioglossum contains massive flavonoid compounds1,2 which are known to have various biological activities.Zhang et al reported that O.thermale extract exhibited strong antioxidant activities and has great potential as a source for natural health products3.
