Objective To evaluate two kinds of internal fixation methods in treatment of metatarsal fractures.Methods From March 2006 to March 2009,42 patients with metatarsal fractures were treated surgically.They included 9 cases of the open fracture,14 cases of the single fracture,28 cases of the communicated fracture.The surgical treatments included open or closed reduction internal fixation by K-wires or by the miniplate.
