  The tubular rubber seal which is made of rubber and fabric have an important application in airliner because of the large deformation of rubber materials under the small load.The service environmental conditions of the rubber seal in airliner are adverse which influence the performance.The failure of the rubber seal may cause the disastrous consequences.For example, in 1986, after the failure of a gasket in one of its booster rockets, the shuttle Challenger disintegrated in mid-air shortly after lift-off, killing its crew of seven.
