  Stress histogram or spectra is key to estimation of fatigue life of highway bridges.Accurate estimation of the same for a specific bridge is traditionally done through field investigations which involve bridge instrumentations at critical fatigue prone details (Mohammadali et al.1978).This involves long term data collection and has been made possible with the advent of modern health monitoring systems (Kown &Frangopol,2010).
