DNA 甲基化在真核生物中广泛存在,与细胞分化、胚胎发育、环境适应和疾病发生等各种功能相关,是重要的表观遗传学标记,也是当前表观遗传学研究的热点领域之一.研究表明,DNA 甲基化可以通过调控转录因子和DNA 的结合特异性来发挥作用,但是目前其分子机制尚不清楚.
