Cancer is a complex disease with multiple genetic defects and biological alterations.Identification of all the genetic alterations in cancer and understanding of their biological and clinical consequence should eventually lead to the control of this deadly disease.At the Institute of Cancer, Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London, we are using a strategy starting from systematic genetic analysis to identify critical genes, through to biological investigation of gene function, and development of novel forms of therapies.To achieve this goal, we host a broad range of cancer research expertise and facilities, including many world-class medical researchers and stage-of-the-art technology platforms.
