Yarrowia lipolytica SWJ-1b isolated from the gut of marine fish at Bohai Sea was found toproduce high level of citric acid from glycerol, glucose and hydrolysate of cassava starch. In the batch cultivation,26.4 g/l and 29.4 g/l of CA was yielded from glucose and the cassava starch hydrolysate, respectively when the cultivation time was 120 h.
