Improved Performance of Perovskite Solar Cells with Mg-doped TiO2 Compact Film as the Hole-blocking

  To avoid the phenomenon of the decrease of short-circuit density after doping Mg into TiO2 porous layer in perovskite solar cells,we report perovskite solar cells with thin dense Mg-doped TiO2 as hole-blocking layers.We added different amount of magnesium acetate tetrahydrate into 0.05M ethanol solution of TiCl4.The above-mentioned solution was spin-coated on the FTO glass at 2000 r.p.m.for 30 s and sintered at 500 Cells with Mg-doped TiO2 hole-blocking layers outperform cells using TiO2 hole-blocking layers in several ways: higher open-circuit voltage(1.08 V),power conversion efficiency(12.28%),short-circuit current,and fill factor.
