Attribution studies have concluded that significant surface air temperature warming since 1950 was very likely attributed to anthropogenic forcing on global and continental scales, but some difficulties and uncertainties remained in attribution of temperature warming in sub-continental scales and at time scales less than 50-yr.During1979-2005,significant warming temperature trends can be detected over one-third observed ocean and land grid boxes,15 of 20 sub-continental regions at the 5% significance level.Warmed ocean moistens and increases the air temperature over land. The main purposes here is to attribute global and regional SST trends as well as sub-continental land warming since 1979 using various CMIP5 simulations.
