Understanding the load behavior of high-strength wrought 7XXX-series aluminum alloys is very important for the analysis of hot tearing mechanism in direct-chill casting.A newly improved T type mold is designed to investigate the influence of grain refinement on the load behavior of AA7050 alloy incoulated by Al-5Ti-1B master alloy.The microstructure of AA7050 alloy varies from large columnar grains to fine equiaxed grains after adding different amounts of Al-5Ti-1B master alloys.
