Objective Functional dyspepsia (FD) is a common disease.Currently, there is no an established optimal treatment.The aim of this study is to assess the effect of acupuncture in relieving symptoms and improving quality of life in patients with FD.Methods We searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, Web of Science and the Chinese databases Sino-Med, CNKI, and VIP for randomized controlled trials (RGTs) from inception through April 2014.Articles were enrolled only overall FD symptoms or FD-related quality of life as a primary outcome.
