Objective The purpose of the present retrospective case series study was to assess clinical outcomes of endoscopic therapy of esophageal benign stricture after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) by bougie dilatations and skirted full covered stents placement.Methods Between January 2009 and December 2013, 40 admitted patients that developed esophageal benign stricture after ESD underwent bougie dilatations or skirted full covered stents placement at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University.Data such as age, gender, histological pathology, site of stricture, time of stricture formation, type of treatment, frequency of treatment, effectiveness and outcome of endoscopic therapy were recorded.
