Fucales are dominant macroalgae in madne coastal ecosystems of different natural regions.We studied fungal community associated with dominant fucoids in cold northern White and Barents Seas (Fucus spp.and Ascophyllum nodosum) and in the temperate Black Sea (Cystoseira barbata).Using cultivation on different media, 101 species of fungi belonging to 42 genera were isolated and identified from the northern seaweeds; and 43 species belonging to 24 genera were isolated from the Cystoseira thalli.
