This paper presents a new modeling methodology - 3-Dimensional (3D) modeling in condition of moving discrete data - for the point cloud data of mining tunnel and mined-out area.If the traditional modeling methods fall into the category of rigid modeling,the method put forward in this paper could be considered as a flexible modeling method.The concept of “moving point” means we can move the point within a certain range in the respect of certain rules bychanging its 3D coordinate values.By moving the point,the construction and analysis of the 3D model might be easier and more efficient.Furthermore,we parallelize our methodology with multi-threading technology to improve thealgorithm’s performance.Experimental result shows that our modeling methodology is effective for integrated modeling,and a significant speedup is obtained in the parallel version of the algorithm.
