  Verticillium wilt of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is a widespread and destructive disease caused by the soil-borne fungal pathogen Verticillium dahliae (V.dahliae).For the pathogen is seedborne and transmission through seed, that is a major concern for the long-distance disease transmission and caused the quick spreading of Sunflower Verticillium Wilt.
