Human bone marrow stem cells (hBMSCs) could differentiate into multiple cell lineages under proper induction, thereby serving as a promising tool for cell-based therapy.However, replicative senescence is always accompanied with expansion of hBMSCs in vitro.We have previously indicated that replicative senescence of hBMSCs is associated with downregulation of 20S proteasome activity,with the decreased expression of rate-limiting catalytic β-subunits.
