Optical diffuser based on multifunctional fillers of nano(ZnO-TiO2)@polysiloxane microspheres

  Tunable optical diffusers based on multifunctional fillers of nano(ZnO-TiO2)@polysiloxane were successfully prepared by simple UV curing process.The tunable fluorescence property of multifunctional microspheres was measured via adjusting the concentration of nano(ZnO-TiO2)@polysiloxane.Then,the properties of novel optical diffuser were tested by UV-vis-NIR spectra and lasers scattering.The UV-vis-NIR spectra analysis confirmed that novel diffuser containing the hybrid microspheres had an enhanced UV-shielding effect with almost blocking the damage of entire UV range via adding the amount of nano(ZnO-TiO2)@polysiloxane into resin.Besides,the novel diffuser exhibited a strong NIR absorption,which had a potential application in absorbing materials and night vision LCD monitor products.In addition,the result revealed that the novel diffusers had almost no absorption in the visible range,and the transmittance of novel diffusing film had only a slight decreasing with the amount increasing of nano(ZnO-TiO2)@polysiloxane.The results of lasers scattering showed the tunable optical diffusing property as optical diffuser.It had a good diffusing effect and transmittance.Thus,it can be expected to replace conventional optical diffuser.
