In high intensity pulsed electric field(PEF),square-wave pulse is widely studied for its high energy efficiency.However,there are few researches about the inactivating effect of steep rising edge of square-wave.In this paper,inactivating effects of sharp rising edge of square-wave pulse on staphylococcus aureus were experimentally studied.Effect of electric field intensity,treatment time and conductivity on staphylococcus aureus inactivating effect by PEF were studied when the rising time of the pulse edge is reduced from 2.0us~2.5us to 200ns.
