Rational design and modulation of optical properties in nanoscaled systems and their bioapplications

In this talk, we update our progress in the last year on how to rationally design and precisely modulate the optical properties and explore their bioapplications, in which two examples are discussed.The first example is Ag2S quantum dots (QDs) with the emission in the second near-infrared window (NIR-Ⅱ, 1.0~-1.4 μm), which have been demonstrated as ideal in vivo imaging nanoprobe with high signal/background ratio and deep tissue penetration [1-3].Our recent results show that Ag2S QDs are perfect for dynamic contrast-enhanced circulation system imaging, including lymphatic structures, blood flow, and angiogenesis, with high spatial resolution, deep tissue penetration and fast feedback.
