Fast response IPS-LCD with protrusion structure

  The slow response speed of in-plane switching liquid crystal display (IPS-LCD) limits its widely used.A fast response IPS-LCD with protrusion is proposed,its gray-to-gray response time is reduced more than 40%.The different cell gap induced by protrusion shows important effect on the response speed.Moreover,the viewing angle and gamma shift of the proposed IPS-LCD is similar to that of the conventional IPS-LCD.
