　　Investigation of Sr3+xNi2-yTayOz compounds with Sr3Ti2O7-type of structure was carried out.The compositions of Sr3+xNi2-yTayOz with 0 ≤ x ≤ 1,0.1 ≤ y ≤ 0.8 were synthesized by conventional solid state method from strontium-nitrate,nickel-nitrate and tantalum oxide.The final annealing was done at 1200-1300 ℃ in 1 atm of flowing O2.Phase formation during the synthesis was characterized by XRD and TEM.
